I live in an open plan loft (on the loft level) and don't mind having no bedroom door because the bedroom space is very seperate from the living space below.

In your case I think a bedroom door would enhance the space. I'd be more inclined to make the wall straight and the bedroom slightly smaller.

Keep the layout in the bedroom as is.

Perhaps two sliding doors that retract into a straight wall would be a better option. I think a foot or two more space in the living area would be more useful than additional space in the bedroom.

Good luck!

Fill the space between the lounge and eames chair/ottoman with plants, get a big shag pile rug to define the lounge room. Your TV is way too high on the wall... Why do people put their TV's so high? When you are in your TV viewing position your eye height should be at the centre or above the centre of the TV....

I would take the 3 similar sized peices:
1. ladies with pots on heads
2. ying yang fish
3. red earth with central tree
and hang these in a column next to the big red door.

Kill everything else.

Hang them as far to the right as possible and make sure your eye height when on the middle floor is higher than the middle of the entire 4 peice arrangement.

Hanging art on stairs is never a good idea, but if you must do it, pick a floor and hang for eye level on that floor.
