My college-age daughter and I are coming through Clinton on our way to California next month. We are long-time (35 years) loft-dwellers from Manhattan. Can we bring you anything? Love your space!

Yes, I have the solar fountain shown above. It works quite well in direct sunlight. If a cloud passes over the sun, your fountain will stop until the clouds pass. I don't mind this because I don't require my decorative items to be on duty 24/7. I made a lovely fountain out of two planters, the one on the bottom is a cube and a wide bowl shaped planter sits on top, with the fountain. A few different sprays are included with the lily pad fountain. Hope this helps!

I had a party in the early '70's at my loft on Leonard Street. Chevy Chase crashed it with his fiend from Channel One. I thought he was cute in his tight leather jeans so I let him stay. At the time, he wasn't a movie star and I remember giving him a hard time about his name.

We named our house on the river, Dunowen, which translates "fort on the river" in Gaelic. Our friends laughed when we told them saying we'd actually be owing for a long time...

Beautiful! I think I would like to see the star in the dining room go on the wall in Georgia's room. It fits with her decor and ends up competing a bit with the photograph on the sideboard (Cartier-Bresson?). Just a thought.
Love the whole house. So cozy, a real family who love living together.
