I love my Pronto very much. It is so light, quick, and pretty that I actually choose to clean. :) Seven dogs at our house, all wood floors, but the Pronto is AWESOME on the carpeted stairs (Actually a runner).

I love this for cleaning up dog hair, and the crumbs the dogs don't get. Works beautifully on our low-pile stair runner, too. :)

We recently bought 3x6 white "subway" tile (Dal Tile, from the Rittenhouse series) from Menard's for under $3 a square foot. We've had a really hard time finding hex tile that we consider to be affordable, though. We've decided on glass mosaic tile from wholesalersusainc.com (a great deal at less than $4 a square foot).

Costco has some great deals on fancier glass and metal tile, if you've got the budget for it.

And I always love repurposed dressers as vanities. :) Good luck -- and here's some :::sympathy::: for you.

I love my Snap Sofa -- it's virtually dog-proof (we have 7 of our own and 2 fosters) and so flexible. It's a great option for Midwesterners w/o access to lots of fantastic furniture... I think we paid $899.

Thanks, everyone! We're going to be on HGTV's "What You Get for the Money". We have a 1700 sq foot house we bought for $100K, and we're still renovating it. :)
