This looks like its based on Bulthaup B2 system, but loads cheaper no doubt. It's gorgeous, and I can see this being perfect for other storage if crafts are not your thing: http://www.bulthaup.com/bulthaup/internet/en/home.nsf/contentview/4EE1ABDA308BCD2BC12574E200291320

I sold my muji cd player when my son was born, the thought of little one(potentially, continuously) playing the same cd on/off was too much for me to bear.

In the bedroom pic, is that egg vase affixed to the wall as decoration? or is it re-purposed as a doorknob?

Its gorgeous, love the kitchen, however impractical it may be!

Stokke makes one for their sleepi cribs, but no reason why it can't work here as well. Its a simple 3 pocket design that used velcro to affix onto the top rail, and yes, it could be an easy DIY if you're so inclined. Just google for the Stokke Sleepi Storage Pocket.

This is actually not uncommon in Asia, the fridge models from Hitachi, Sharp, Samsung, etc. can come with up to 6 doors, can include a "bar" door in the front for getting your drinks without having to open the big door, etc.

This was a big thing at a few fashiion boutiques that opened in HK about 2 yrs ago, notably Chloe: http://www.nitrolicious.com/blog/2006/11/30/chloe-admiralty-hk/

I have one in my son's room, (he's 3). It the Ekkore (sp?) from IKEA, and been there for as long as he's been. He's not so much into it now, but probably later when he learns how to do it himself.

Sorry, but I don't like it. It seems like an arco wanna-be, but not quite there. Just my $0.02

No difference, its a to-ma-to/to-mah-to thing.

But I do tend to think that these pictures look great becuase the beds are space saving, and not pictured in small rooms, where in most cases they will be used. So the impact in situ might be a bit different.

Where's the love?
I do see the same problem as phoneill on this, it looks like it could easily tumble over if the kid tries to get in him/herself. But not so much on the chair needs back support, harness, etc. It's not a chair for long-term seating, and not all kids need harnesses.

Oh, welcome to Hong Kong, I'm sure you will have a great time! So much to see and do, and hopefully you may get a chance to see some real living places and fittings. Looking fwd to reading your report when you get back.

I posted this same q on designaddict.com, and was advised to use PC-7, available from your Home Depot or similar. Sadly, mine lasted about 3 months and just broke again last night :-( You can search the forum for the full thread.

However I didn't sand them down the first time, so I'm going to do that and try again. I'll have to look at a way to clamp this as well.....

Harry Allen's look similar, but not exactly like those pictured.
I wonder why her elephant stools are so shiny, mine is quite matte, just like these: http://www.nova68.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=21002101&Category_Code=170

Is "Steppi" German for "ladder that looks like a tripp trapp"?

Raine: fwiw, the TT is great, our son took a week to get used to it and loves it now, except when he wants to act "big" and sit on a regular chair. Not sure why you would want wheels on a high chair though; my son quickly learned he could push on the table to slide his chair out, that would be much easier (and dangerous) if there were wheels. Also since we eat at the table, there's no need to move the chair around.
