I think it's the 80s. Not because the design looks 80s but because I can't fathom a reason for the LOST people to trick us into thinking Juillet grew up in the 80s when she really grew up in the 90s. Unless for some reason it's important that at the same time of Juillet's flashback, Ben was massacring the Dharma people, which I believe happened in 1992 or 1993. I don't think that would be important though.

The girl in the flashback was definitely Juillet and when the timelines diverge (like what's happening now and what happened to Desmond with the ring) the copy in the alternate timeline is obviously the same age as the original.
What's your theory Adelaide?

They're also nice because you can't waste hours reading blogs and playing mindsweeper when you're supposed to be writing.

Whatever's under those slipcovers can't be worse than the slipcovers.

I hate it when they don't fit, it reminds me of people wearing clothing 5 sizes too big or recently losing a lot of weight and carrying around a lot of extra skin.

I appreciate that religion is meaningful to some people, but it isn't to me. If something is going to look great as art in my apartment I'm not going to be restrained by the idea that someone could be offended.

Who can say that applying a religious connotation is any more valid than an aesthetic one?

In a cat's mind they are more entitled to the furniture than you are.

He tried to get a new couch but then Poppy peed on it so he got his old couch back. I think.

I don't think Elaine ever had a car, though she was a bad driver, mostly they borrowed Jerry's. Except when George had John Voigt's Labarren for a while there. I'm not sure if Kramer had his own car either or if he just borrowed. They definitely took the subway sometimes though. On the way to the lesbian wedding, in between getting gyros, that time Jerry was sitting across from a naked guy.

The apartment from his first few episodes is different from the usual one. I think the couch is different and a few other little things like that.

"The wall hangers that come with these bookcases are a joke, so I secured them with 8 L-brackets screwed into the studs, and a 2x4 underneath the shelves to act as a bottom support."

Still I just wouldn't trust ikea and particle board to hold together. I've had too many ikea shelves just sort of pull themselves apart over time.

I wouldn't want those shelves hanging above my bed.

It just reminds me of stores that have LCDs above head constantly cycling through ads and pictures of products. Or of stores selling monitors and LCDs constantly cycling through photos to show off the clarity and definition.

I'm going to roll my eyes in an obnoxious and exagerated way at all the complaining about wasted energy though. Some would say spending time looking at AT (or any other blog) is a waste of energy. You could be out planting trees right now with your pc unplugged.

It's funny the way those chairs are all pointed in the same direction. I assume they face a monitor connected to a camera which sends down images from the surface of the zombie apocalypse so he'll know when it's safe to venture from the shelter in search of survivors and supplies.

I would absolutely fucking love a bomb shelter though.

You kept the torchiere!

I'm also somewhat bothered when people design their offices around their Macs. I can't think of any other brand that so compels people to kill off personality in favour of a coroporate identity's minimalism.

Shouldn't there be a 'mortal peril' option? At least there is in the book. I don't know about the movie.

I looks nice. The only issue I have with a lot of these closet offices is that I don't think they can be used for any length of time. There's no where to rest elbows and no back support.

Except of course if they could have gotten MJ to sleep without anestesia. He only gets a pass buying them because he was insane anyway and I expect no less than insanity from an insane person.

The greens need to understand they can't have it all. The movement will either be widely accessible made easy and neutered or it will remain exclusionary and relegated to the fringes of the population who are willing to change their lives for an impossible ideal.
