I painted our iron headboard red, love it. Have used the old double for a queen bed for years, now that we want to move to a king, will have to let it go, sigh.

The corner sink is roomy and makes me wish we had corner windows!

I grew up with the avocado green, and I think I saw enough of it then. But one of the commenters was right, it looks a lot better with fresher, sleeker (less muddy) 70s chic.

The wallpaper is fun. I removed wallpaper all over our house but kept a similar one in our laundry room. It makes me happy, and that has become my gold standard for decorating.

We want to have a TV on the wall over our fireplace too, but it's a wood fireplace, so I guess we can't. :(

Love the areas with "spots" of color. A little more color in the main living area please?

I happen to love color. I also HATE some colors on walls. So, I guess what I'm saying is... even with color lovers, if it's not a color they're fond of, you turn them off. I also would consider, does this color go with my furniture so I don't need to paint immediately? How many rooms would absolutely have to be painted immediately? If you have one girl's room with blue skies and clouds, I think people can look past it. The whole downstairs in lime green? Maybe not.

I like to see a natural light source. Feels too much like a [man] cave.

Love the orange as an accent color in a sunny space. The storage locker works, but don't you fall off the bed? Scary! I'd prefer deep drawers under a "slightly" high bed platform.

So thoughfully organized, great use of space. I don't like tight hallways in small spaces, we're taking ours out! Then again, we have another place where we can put that closet. So bright for so little natural light.

I'd be afraid to fall over the low balcony railing when getting into those high drawers above the bed!

We fostered our child Blaze until we were able to adopt him at 1 and 1/2 years old. While I like the name Blaise, by then, Blaze is who he was and is now. No one disputes. A little uncomfortable sometimes when people assume things about us because of the name. Although their assumptions may be correct! Yes, a hippy deep
in my soul.

My favorite accent colors, orange and fresh green. Love the look of lounging sofas with lots of pillows, but tend to want a better backrest when I sit. How long does it take to clean around all those chairs and little tables? In the mirrored cabinet, you could use fishing wire instead of brown string to hang the open wicker globes, they'd appear to float more.

My kids think that IF you plan to use something again in the next half hour or so, keep it out. They're incensed that I force them to put it away. Guess what, when I cave, and allow them to "keep it out for a couple of minutes," it's never touched again.

curtis says...things like butler pantries, with dumb waiters (that were like tiny little elevators)

I have aLWAYS always always wanted a dumb waiter, load the groceries on, move laundry from floor to floor, hoist kids for a ride, confuse the #$$ out of the cats... wo, man, thought I was in the room with the bed...
