Wow, what an amazing response!!! Thank you to everyone - really appreciate it! Good to know about the retro beauty of the fixtures... Would not have known! Pink really just isn't our colour but we'll be sure, when we eventually do renovate, to be very very careful and find them a loving home :)

Right now i'm inclined to try the chocolate brown and cream idea... Will do some swatch testing and see. Thanks muchly!
