I like it the way it is, too.

I have one of those macrame hanging tables, but I've never used it. It was a gift to my mother and she had it tucked away for years and never used it either. I kind of like it, but I don't know what to do with it.

I guess shocking art is effective at shocking if that's what you want.

Well, DSM, it's not the nudity that bothers me, it's that the figure looks like a nude Richard Nixon. That creeps me out.

I remember that booklet from when I was a kid. They would put them in the bag with your liquor store purchases. My parents weren't into games, though. Just as with modern guides to entertaining--you pick a couple of ideas you like and skip the rest.

I couldn't wait to grow up and wear those sheath dresses and entertain but then it was too late! It was hippie time. Ever since then no one I know dresses up for parties at home any more.

I have some superficial chips on my 7 liter le creuset lid, also. It's because I used to store it upside down on the pot in a hard to access cabinet. It has no bearing on the usefulness of the cookware. Over time it will show wear and chips, without any loss of usefulness.

"Is there any reason I should pay four times as much for le creuset?" Yes, you won't have to buy a second or third pot.

Actually I don't care, except I keep seeing these endless stories across the internet. This one is better, that one is better. Buy the best you can within your budget and get on with it. Please.

Also cookware is not impervious to any kind of treatment in the world. It chips, it wears. Are you using it for cooking or for art?

I had a very similar all white set in the 70's. You could find them in any small town furniture store (hmm, they don't have those any more). The chairs were naugahyde and our cats poked a million holes in them.

Thanks for reminding me about American Frame. I was in Michaels yesterday to have an 18 x 24 poster framed. At $142 I had to walk out. I just went to AF and got the same configuration for about 1/3 the Michael's price. The interactive frame configuration thingy makes it really easy. One plus about going to Michael's first was that I could see from the matte samples that that the bright white that I had in mind was all wrong.

Mission accomplished.
