I was in Beijing last May, as well as Shanghai and other places. There are many beautiful hotel rooms on offer, but my first choice for my next trip (to Beijing) would be the new-old hutong style, which is a recreation of the old hutong courtyard homes. Simple and beautiful, with a serene outdoor space to relax in. I guess you could call it Chinese minimalist. China is, believe it or not, very, very decorated and ornamented. Simplicity is a wonderful break from that. Room Dividers at the Aman Hotel Beijing, China | Apartment Therapy Chicago |

I have one of those macrame hanging tables, but I've never used it. It was a gift to my mother and she had it tucked away for years and never used it either. I kind of like it, but I don't know what to do with it. My Parents Were Awesome…But Their Decor Was Not | Apartment Therapy Los Angeles |

I've had an exercise ball around for a few years, sometimes in the living room. I use it to sit at the computer sometimes and it has served as extra seating, actually, for the young adults in my family; they don't mind at all. Exercise Balls as Home Decor? | Apartment Therapy Boston |

I remember that booklet from when I was a kid. They would put them in the bag with your liquor store purchases. My parents weren't into games, though. I agree, bitdot, and not only that, but where's the counterspace or some kind of surface to hold your ingredients as you throw them in the pot? It looks like you have to run across to the island/table to get what you need. Farmhouse Chic: Rugged Elegant Inspiration | Apartment Therapy New York |

I had a very similar all white set in the 70's. You could find them in any small town furniture store (hmm, they don't have those any more). The chairs were naugahyde and our cats poked a million holes in them. Apartment Therapy New York | Good Questions: Identify These Chairs Table? |

Thanks for reminding me about American Frame. I was in Michaels yesterday to have an 18 x 24 poster framed. At $142 I had to walk out. I just went to AF and got the same configuration for about 1/3 the Michael's price. The interactive frame configuration thingy makes it really easy. One plus about going to Michael's first was that I could see from the matte samples that that the bright white that I had in mind was all wrong.
