If you're doing a small bird, like a roast chicken, I like to use my ceramic Williams Sonoma pie dish. It's a perfect fit for the bird and some side veggies.

Leave a spare in your office. It may be a pain to go back to work, but if you're like me (lawyer), the building never closes so you can always get it, but it's still in a safe location.

crust is the best part of the pie, and, in fact, the most difficult part to successfully make from scratch. his comments sound like they're coming from someone who sucks at making pastry. mark bittman - more like mark bitter.

for a (more) healthy version of grilled cheese I love using a grill pan so I don't have to butter the outside of my bread. Also try using whole wheat naan (Trader Joe's) with classic American cheese. The results are swoon-worthy.

I LOVE my Breville juicer. I even named my dog Breville!! I drink my vegetables for juice every morning for breakfast (spinach, broccoli, cucumber, asparagus, and an apple). I feel so much healthier and when I take a few days off, I can feel a difference. Some people, my parents especially, make fun of me and say they'd rather eat their vegetables but juicing is such an easy way to integrate LOADS more fresh veggies into your daily diet. I can't imagine EATING all those vegetables every morning without getting so full. FULLY ENDORSE AND RECOMMEND.

I moved from a 2bdrm with a roommate on the 4th floor to a 1 bdrm on my own on the 3rd floor in the same building. i loved my location and my landlord was great, so I was really happy to be staying put. I planned on skipping the boxing process, though, which was a huge mistake. what i expected to be an easy move turned out to take forever because i was just taking arm-loads of stuff at a time.

my go to is a whole roasted chicken. easiest thing ever and the leftovers can be used in so many ways (tacos, quesadillas, mixed with lentils, soups, etc). if i don't feel like cooking, i'll make something super quick like a grilled cheese sandwich, fried egg in a basket, or a green juice (broccoli, cucumber, asparagus, spinach, and green apple)
