Every year, I make a big batch of fabric drawstring bags of varying sizes in festive/quirky fabrics and give gifts in those. What fun curtains! It could be the lighting but the blue looks like it makes your space a lot darker (I went through a blue accent wall thing earlier this year too, so I can sympathize). It's hard for me to tell if the drapes go with your furniture in such a small picture but I think you could make them work together, especially if you pull colors from the curtains into some funky throw pillows/blankets. I'd suggest for your first step - paint the blue wall the same white (or whatever neutral you're doing) as the rest of the room and just live with it for a little bit while adjusting your accessories. Then if you find the white too boring, I like the suggestion above of pulling the turquoise from the curtains for the accent wall, but I would recommend doing it a few shades lighter instead of matching it exactly. I second the call for cabinet hardware! If you're going to change the countertops, maybe you can detach the cabinet next to the stove from the wall, make it even with the stove, and put a spacer behind it and panel the side so you can't see the space. It's hard to tell what's on the other side of the stove. You may want to rethink the cream - it could look dingy against your white cabinets. Maybe a soft gray? For those suggesting food ideas - please be mindful that many of us don't advertise our food allergies/intolerances at work for various reasons. It's easy to feel excluded when management brings in pizza or baked goods that those with real issues can't eat. If you're going to do a food gift - please be mindful and ask if anyone has any allergies/intolerances ahead of time. To avoid that issue, I would second the bookstore or movie ticket gift card if you are going to do a tangible gift. Holiday Gift Ideas for Large Group at Work? I would recommend keeping your bed as close to the closet as you can while still allowing access to it and putting the dining table and loveseat/couch on the half of the room near the windows. That way you can use the balcony to entertain without having people crawl over your bed to get there. Perhaps place the desk in between the bed and "living area" to give some separation. Or, consider losing the desk and getting a laptop stand or using your table as a desk when you don't have guests over. As for color, more information is needed - what are the floors like?
