Also be sure to face the seated section towards the banister. If you have to make a turn around a corner, having that extra room to move horizontally will really help. Think like an upside down "L".

The railing and banister will tuck neatly into the L < shape

I was having a hard time trying to find a narrow width desk for my bedroom and I just ended up using the Malm<a/> bedside table from Ikea.

No thanks. I agree this green thing has crossed the line. If everyone started doing this, I can only imagine the streets filled with zombie-like people in the morning.

That being said, theres nothing wrong with taking a shorter shower.

I agree with the clip on lights over items like your beech storage unit. Placing a light over each vertical segment will warm that up.

I would also put some in cabinet lighting in your white cabinet behind the frosted glass doors. A nice ambient glow would really soften that area.

If you were to put in some track lighting I'd probably place it along the opposite wall from your couch.

Also you seem to have a couple lights already in your room but they look very dim. Could you use a higher wattage lightbulb?

The reason it looks the same is because most Canadian's give don't give a damn about innovating and doing anything innovative. It always comes down to cost and how can we rip off someone else.

I should knows this because I'm a canadian and being in the design field, I always see many of my designer friends try and push the boundaries only to have clients unwilling to pay for something new.

I quite like the new site. I have no problem fitting it onto my screen. You must be running 800x600 which was quite common maybe 8 years ago. Perhaps you should upgrade.

Though it the site takes a bit of getting used to, its easy once you get used to it.

Though with Ikea stuff in general it becomes a talent to find products which might last longer than 5 years.

Up here in Canada we don't have any really great mid priced stores for furniture like a West Elm, or Crate and Barrel to buy things from so for most people Ikea becomes a staple of everyone's home.

I would also agree about Newson. It would be interesting to see a poll between Starck and Newson
