i don't want to assume anything, but do you have a partner (spouse) in the home with you?? if so, you BOTH live in this home, and you are BOTH responsible for the upkeep. if you have a spouse in the home, it's time they start taking on their duties as a partner in the home upkeep. they need to start taking care of the kids and organizing/cleaning as well, so you don't feel so overwhelmed! if you're not only cleaning up after yourself and kids, but also another adult who is not doing their share around the home, no wonder you're overwhelmed!

get your spouse on board. it's not JUST your job to tackle your home. you both live in the home and you both need to work TOGETHER to maintain it.

if you are a single parent, god bless you!!! but the advice of bringing in a parent, sibling, or good friend to take the kids off your hands so you can rest for a bit, then start in tackling the mess is great advice!

i have to say, i agree completely with those stating the bright orange sheers just don't match the patterned curtains and the blue bedspread. by looking at these shots without the words "before" and "after" photoshopped on them, i honestly would have thought the orange curtain shot was the before, and the pretty satin neutral curtain shot with multiple pillows on the bed was the after.

i'm not surprised to hear that's a staged space and not a "real" functioning office. it's beautiful but honestly it looked a bit fake to me.

holy cow!!! such a bright colorful and FULL look, but yet somehow without looking cluttered. full and yet uncluttered is a very hard look to pull off!! when can i move in?? ;)

the ONLY thing that i have to say in regards to improvement are the dark wood boxes in the kitchen on the upper white shelves. the dark wood makes the kitchen look imbalanced, and i felt like the shelves were protruding very far into the kitchen and about to fall down. it just looks very heavy to be on top. but seriously out of your entire home that's the only improvement i have to suggest!! the rest is amazingly beautiful!! congrats on a gorgeous space!

lovely!! i've enjoyed west elm for some time now. and yes, gray has been the hot color for at least 2 years now. this past year all the students in our interior design department at school used gray as a major color theme. (myself included!!) :)

i agree with somecraftydame. i disliked the 2nd one for the same reason. i also didn't like the 3rd shot. just not my style at all.
but the rest were great! i especially loved the all-black matte room (office?) #8.

ummm that is NOT a cookie in #8! it has hairy balls, and a distinct "head" and blood veins.

i LOVE aboslutely EVERYTHING about this stunning space! including the fabulous black and white floor in the bathroom.

it looks CHIC, sexy, modern, and uniquely gorgeous!!!

sigh....if only i owned my own space. renting has its downfalls.
