In general, not always, but in general, buying sets of anything provides you with items that you don't need and not enough quantity of the items you do need. For example, for tableware I mostly need dinner plates and bowls. I have little use for salad plates or cups and saucers. Everyone lives life differently, so buy what works for you instead of what manufacturers think that you need.

I'm another who couldn't live without a top sheet, but who lives easily without a duvet. I live in a temperate zone with hot summers and mild winters. I never use the central heat or air, but make do with ceiling fans and a quilt in winter.

I do wish that E-readers had been available earlier in my life as I have been toting hundreds of books with me through many, many moves.

The more people and pets that live with me, the neater I need to be. When I'm by myself, I'm perfectly comfortable ignoring the clutter surrounding me, but add one more person to the environment and I turn into an tidy freak. Consequently, every part of my house except my office is organized.
