By the way the best thing about making lists like kmarie said is when you get to check off things that are already done.

I recently upholstered an old grey office chair that was lying around in blue green and I must say I feel like sitting on it more than I used to before :)

I am a renter and Ive been renting for all my life . I dont mind the ugly linoleum or the beige carpet or the tiny tiles in my bath as long as everything is real clean when I get it and in working condition. The carpets were steam cleaned and I can use rugs to create my own space and add color. I used to rent an apartment with hardwood floors but I dont have any complaint with my current carpeted floors. I had mould issues in the old one but the current apartment has great ventilation. I also hear people walking in the floor above all the time, but it doesnt bother me so much.

I moved twice and have bought boxes from usedcardboard boxes.com, once for a local move and once for a cross country move. I also asked my local library for book boxes and my liquor store for boxes with dividers to pack my glasses and plates. I know subway gives away boxes for free but they smell of food, so if you dont mind that then go ahead....
craigslist boxes are hit or miss ....ive scored few from freecycle too...i know my local grocery store leaves boxes out everyday but the place where they leave them out is very icky and i wouldnt want to store my stuff in them not knowing what has crawled into those boxes before....
i gave away all my boxes on craigslist after my move....

I start with the bedroom and work my way to the kitchen tidying and dusting.All rooms get vacuum cleaned/mopped in the end . The bathroom is done last. I usually have some tv shows that I like but couldnt watch playing in the background. Laundry is done on weekdays at really odd times since our apartment complex laundry is mostly occupied during the weekend.

Your bathroom makes me want to sit in there all day long....lovely color...love the division of space...

thanks for that...forgot to mention , i love the bedroom colors specially the sheets ....

locked door if we have guests, but otherwise its open...helps remove the moisture and prevent mould when we take hot showers(which is most of the time) since we dont have a fan in the rental apartment ......pee or poop we seen each other doin it all and frankly it hasnt reduced our romance at all.......been together for 5 years...
