I window shop Flash Sale sites. Almost the same way I browse Pinterest. Once I saw an item on One Kings Lane that I recognized from my Amazon wish list for waaay more- I've been suspicious of them since. Joss and Main I enjoy browsing, especially the Curator's Collections. But if I find something I like I google it and 8 times out of 10 it's cheaper elsewhere (or better yet reviewed so I can avoid a regret). Still if you can't find a better price and you don't mind the risk and it's exactly what you're looking for- they are well worth shopping.

I agree! This is one of the few vibrant bedrooms I like. I particularly like the hot pink duvet cover and that yellow gold upholstered bench. Love the bed, too! And the pendant! So many things to like :) I Wonder what color paint she used?

I was looking for an upholstered platform bed myself a few years ago but my search was more specific. We have a (king) Tempur-Pedic and the warranty is void if you don't use a "firm, solid-surface, non-spring foundation or adjustable bed base that is structurally capable of supporting the weight". We needed a low/platform bed that could also hold/fit their low profile foundation. Anyway, after over a year of searching we got a great deal on a Coaster bed I stumbled upon online and priced checked to death before snagging it for $470 at Mercantilla (I'd never heard of them until then and I haven't bought anything there since). It's still going strong. Amazon also carried it, search for: Contemporary Eastern Standard King Size Platform Bed.

I recently painted my bedroom a taupe, and I love it, but I wish I'd gone darker, like in picture #8 (by Dwell Studio) ... but I was scared I wouldn't do it right.

I like to eat my ice cream out of my favorite ice-cream bowl or right out of a pint size container. I can understand wanting to give away your gifts away in something that looks the same way as you enjoy it.

I found these ice-cream tubs (1 pint size) on Amazon and I think I'll get them because the times where I have given ice-cream to friends in ugly tupperware they usually give me back my tupperware (it's the polite thing to do) and they request more. So really, they never throw it away, they give it back to you when they want more, and hopefully they reuse it (maybe it can hold soup?). But they are $12 each. I'm sure a nice waterproof label can be added to the tops, side or even discreetly on the bottom.

Looks great! We're big fans of Apple too. I'll fwd this to my husband, he'll love it for sure. Apartment living means I can only have an electric grill though. I once saw a really tall and stainless steel looking one on Oprah (some chef was making a paella on it) but I have not been able to find one. THAT is a post I'd love to read. I need help finding an electric grill ;)

I made this last week. I've always had the store-bought stuff and it always left a lot to be desired. This was fantastic! Thank you for sharing the recipe.

I gave that lego timer to a friend that loves cooking. It's a "fun" and functional kitchen tool. She likes.

I had a Misto but it got clogged all the time. I kept mine inside the cabinet above the stove. I hated the pumping action too. I see them all the time at TJMaxx. I'm looking for a new one, maybe I'll try one of the others on that list. I like the look of that last one!

I don't have a Dyson hand vacuum, but I do have the Dyson (DC18) Slim. Our best household purchase made in 2008!
I use it fine to clean pretty much everything the handheld line can do I think, unless I'm missing something?

I'm wondering how well it will do when I try to vacuum my car this week.

I'm an online shopper as well. You save time and money. I love using coupon/promo codes - the deals are even sweeter! I do exactly what modernguy just said. But even when I don't have a code the savings in taxes by buying online still beats the regular price at local stores. Sometimes I carry in coupons to those local stores but they end up saving me the tax, bringing the price down, but only pennies short from the price online. If instant gratification is your thing buying online may not impress you. But if you don't mind exercising some patience online purchases tend to give you more for your buck. Even with shipping! Shipping is often cheaper than the tax added when I buy locally!

Returns used to keep me from shopping online more but recently I've noticed that the return policies are the same if not better than local shopping so it's pretty much a win-win right now. The other bonus of online shopping is the research done before making a purchase. I make better decisions buying online :)

But I still wish Borders had online price matching at their local stores. THAT would be a GREAT deal!

You often see some great models of the Roomaba on woot.com. I'd like one if I had hardwood floors. I can imagine the time saved. But for carpet? Na.
