Keep in mind you can buy ventless dryer units. No ducting is required, and they work very well! Also consider installing an automatic shut off valve in case of leaks.

Renovation Project Planning: Tips for Fitting a Laundry into a Bathroom

We just finished renovating our kitchen and bathroom and I unpacked our boxes after 10 weeks of choas. We lived in the house for the last 4 weeks. In an effort to keep myself sane and my household running smoothly, I came up with the same strategies, except for the mood board. It helped to meticulously label each box and stack them in the order in which I would need them later. I also only packed like with like. I didn't post pictures of my progress, but after everything was done, I invited friends over for brunch and my daughter's friends for playdates. It was great to reclaim our apartment after it was taken over by the contractor and workers!

I was at BKLYN design on Sunday- we go every year and enjoy it immensely. Not this year, however.

A comment on the exhibit being child friendly-- my 5 month old was very hungry and I went to a corner where there was no booth, and out of the way of others to feed her. I sat down on a random chair that was placed in the corner (it was not part of an exhibit), when a security guard came up and insisted I get up, she "needed the chair". Have you tried to stop feeding a hungry baby? I stood up and continued to feed the baby from a standing position. The security guard stood over the chair like it was the most precious piece of furniture and 5 minutes later, carried it into the press room. I could have sat on it for the 5 minutes it took to feed the baby. I did try to complain to the the guy in charge of security before I left, but didnt really get an apology. Happy Mother's day BKLYN Design! Child friendly indeed~!

They really should know better in a neighborhood filled with kids, and with the demographic they are trying to reach....

Jenny, I had the same question when I bought an apartment in NY. Everything was remodeled except the radiators and the paint was flaking from them. So I brought in a professional to test them.

I dont remember the firm, but I called 3 and got quotes before I picked one. I believe they have to be licensed by the state, so check for that. I thought the people I picked were very professional and did a great job explaining everything to us and sending us a easy to understand report from the lab.

Maintainance includes the property tax in my NYC coop. Half of it is tax.
