Nothing cooks a pancake especially, like a well-seasoned (non-coated) iron skillet. It's the only pan you get the crispy edges with. Lodge makes pre-seasoned ones, which you still need to cook on a lot to season it further, but they're so much easier than trying to season a skillet from scratch. Ours is a 100 year old limestone house in Lefferts Manor, Brooklyn. Anthony was recommended by Park Slope Kitchen Gallery on Prospect Avenue; they recommend him to all their customers and we could see why. Anthony and Dmitri's team always showed up on time, were polite and professional, and did quality work. Our kitchen was particularly difficult because of badly-done plumbing by the previous owner, and because of sloping floors typical to old old houses. But these guys dealt with it all. We have a beautiful kitchen. On price, be prepared, good kitchen contractors are not cheap in NYC. We found Anthony's quote to be about the same as what we got from other contractors.
