Friends of mine used to throw HUGE weekend-long parties in their large mid-century home in the OC, and in their sunken living room on the middle of three levels they'd have a LARGE kiddie pool full of balls.... It was such a hit and one of the most memorable things of some of the most memorable parties I've ever been to... I surf and I have to keep my boards inside of my one bedroom downtown condo (nowhere else to keep them.) I like having them more or less 'on display', but I'd certainly chuckle if I went to someone's house who didn't surf and they had boards on display.... Surfboards as Décor |

My condo has WtW carpet (beige, of course) in the living/dining room and bedroom... until I can afford to replace it with either bamboo or wood, I've found that a colorful MCM-esque rug in the living area looks reasonably nice. I agree..... Specifically I have an Eames LCW that's the real thing (with certificate of authenticity to prove it! lol), and when I see knockoffs, they just don't look quite 'right'.... Just yesterday I sold a very nice, high end contemporary Italian leather sofa/daybed and today I'm looking for a MCM or Danish Modern sofa... so I'm really HOPING that I'll be able to find something nice at a good price... Hard to tell how things are here in San Diego, as pieces seem to move through the few good shops here fairly quickly in my estimation. We shall see!!
