Old houses renovated beyond recognition, wood paneling, vinyl siding, vinyl flooring, laminate flooring, popcorn walls/ceilings, drop ceilings, fluorescent lighting, carpet..

I love the unpretentiousness of the photo. It looks like happy people live there. I always wanted a lawn so I could get a slip 'n' slide. I grew up in Queens, NY so lawns were few and far between. It was one of the reasons I wanted to move to New Jersey, now I can't wait to get out. I've still never owned a slip 'n' slide, but I will one day.

I used to be an Ohdeedoh regular which is now AT's Family section, but I think this article would still be out of place there, too. I was waiting to hear about some cool design invention coming out of this. This is definitely not the right outlet. This would be more of a blurb that you would read in a regular parenting magazine. It reminds me of what happened to MTV.

Getting Through Bedrest with a Toddler

wow..this is awesome, but it seems a little malfunctional from what i am reading.

my fiance just suggested that we leave a wall white so the baby could draw all over it when she's big enough, and i said to him- 'you know they do have chalkboard paint now just for that purpose'.. if only he were here, i could show him this. i had actually had the same idea when it was just me and my daughter, but never had a place of my own. (wouldn't you just love to be my landlord?) though i would let her draw on the front door (it was made of metal) with wipeable markers. despite my landlord, however, when i found out about chalkboard paint, i was totally going to do a wall in it.

I am looking for functionality and adaptability incorporated within a classic vintage design, but with a playful feel, not an obsolete "don't touch that" antique-y feel. By the way, what color paint are these walls?

to carolyn's mom- i second that motion!! no tinkerbell puke!! i still love her though.

i saw this chair and liked it too..but i opted for the chicco polly highchair because of the reviews and i didn't know if this one folds, seems like it takes up alot of unnecessary space. i just saw the ikea ones, my sister got two for her twins and i liked them, but they seem kinda flimsy. that's just my pregnancy talking i guess..
i agree about not needing one though, i fed my daughter in her papasan, she would rarely sit for long in her highchair.
