Interesting resource. Is it just me, or are other people having a hard time finding buckwheat honey? The apiaries near me are only making "light buckwheat" (half buckwheat, half clover or wildflower) this season because they can't find buckwheat fields to pollinate. It is a strange metric that they use. It has me walk past my local large chain grocery (three blocks away), the full-service Kosher grocery, and the small Greek grocery, all the way to a small Korean grocery about a half mile away. Weird. And it does refer to a few stores that have been long gone, before I moved to my current place five years ago. rockypondgirl, the CDC actually estimates that there are more than 36 unreported cases for every reported case. Not too many people go to the doctor for "stomach flu." I'm shocked at the vehement dill and rosemary haters. Those are two of my favorite herbs! I think that it takes a skilled hand and deft knife skills when adding herbs to a dish to avoid overwhelming or the dreaded rosemary "pine needles". Actually, with rosemary you can leave the branch intact and remove it after cooking a lot of the time (in soups, sauces, stews, etc) to avoid the pine needle effect. Depending on the weather where you live and the home itself, it can be cost and energy efficient to install central air along with a programmable thermostat. You obviously don't need to heat or cool your home nearly as much when you're at work, or when you're sleeping. I live in an apartment, but my family's saved thousands in the time since they installed a central air unit (instead of multiple window units) and replaced the old thermostat. jooly, somehow publishers have managed to survive and publish more books than ever despite (or perhaps, because of) libraries. I'm sorry you're squeamish about sharing materials, but you really should pay us a visit sometime. You can borrow books, music CDs, DVDs, and more from our library system. Buy only the items you know you'll want to read (or watch, etc) again and again, and you can borrow the rest from us. Creeping fig can also be invasive, and it damages structures when grown in an environment without a winter "kill". You should read the reviews on sites like Dave's Garden Guides before you plant "spreading" plants outside.
