You know guys there are ways to keep yourself from being tagged on facebook. There's also a way for you to preview the photo's of you before they are posted. Just go into your privacy settings and make sure you make the changes. It would make you seem a bit silly if you ask everyone to not take photo's of such a joyous occasion. If you were that concerned about it maybe you shouldn't have offered your home. Relax and take a deep breath. You are most likely worrying and stressing about nothing. Think about the celebration at hand.

Congrat's to all the winners. All of the entries were so sweet and thoughtful. It took me almost 4 years to figure out what I wanted to do with my DD bedroom. I finally accomplished it but it was no easy feat.

I have Elfa in all of our closets and in our playroom. There are many reasons to love them. The first reason is that you only have to mount the top track with screws which eliminates tons of holes in the wall. Second, they are very easy to re-arrange with DH help which is a plus for me. I had them used in my daughter's room as set it up as a desk but since she didn't use it much I took it down and used it in the playroom. They are very versatile and easy to use. If you think you have an organized closet without Elfa, think again... I will post pictures soon. As far as your little children being able to reach items, you can put the shelves as low or as high as you want. I usually keep things that are rarely used at the top. Another thing I've done is mounted them above the 4 cubby expedit shelf from Ikea. This works well for kids because they can reach everything in the expedit. Hope this helps. seriously, Elfa rocks. But wait until they have their 30% sale which is usually around September. If you call the store they will be able to give you a date on when the Elfa sale starts. I also purchase some components on Craigslist and I was able to save tons of money.

Hi. I love this room. I wish I could live in it myself. I just purchased the same bed for my kids and have the bottom mattress on the floor, which is driving me nuts for numerous reason. I was just wondering if you could give me the name of the person or comapny you used to custom build the bottom storage unit that the Kura stands on. Thank you so much for your time.

I agree with arcamp83. That is exactly what I've done for my daughter's bedroom. I purchased a quality oversized goosedown comforter. Make sure it's light in color and weight. I purchased 2 different duvet's from PBteen that have the same colors not the same pattern so that we could alternate if we want a change. I also purchased some throw pillows with designs my daughter picked out herself from Justice for Girls which were a less expensive than PBTeen. One word of advice though, just make sure that the comforter size and duvet size match. If the comforter is off by 1" each side it's fine but if there's a bigger difference it will not look well. I've done that and learned the hard way. Good Luck and have fun!

I love this room. It's so cheery. Where did you get the cornice for over the bed. Brilliant idea!

Stunning! I LOVE everything about your apartment. Thanks for sharing it with the world. I wish you could come and help me with my home. Could you recommend some antique shops in the city?

Who decorated this place? If the asking price is REALLY in the $800,000.00 range, they had better step up to the plate. I'd start by painting and then redecorating. This house is interesting on the outside but looks awful on the inside. Sorry for being so critical but c'mon. Are they serious?

No! No! No! First off I'd like to say that the company alone should be the gift. I personally think it's tacky to open gifts in front of guests for many different reasons. The birthday child may not be interested in a gift someone gave him and may feel compelled to express his dislike. Second, why the heck would you want to bore all the guests and finally-we have to show our children that the reason for having everyone get together is not to receive birthday gifts but to have them share in the glorious occassion of celebrating yet another year of his life.

I love your home. I too painted my house BM Linen White and everyone is telling me that I should paint the walls with some kind of color. I prefer a neutral canvas and colorful accessories like you. You have put it together nicely and I hope to accomplish the same for my home.
