I think they are so cute and colorful! If I had a girl I would be buying them. The themes are along the lines of Polly pocket when I was little. That's the thing about Legos-- if you want it to be more "liberated" -build it! Be creative.

I bought "toddler tales" http://www.tiny-tales.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=29
they are cute note cards and come in a nice clear box. It's easy to just write a quick note on there and put it in its divider. I think if i had a book, I wouldn't do it as much. Maybe when he's older I can combine them into a book or something, but it works great for now. they have dividers for their age too.

I agree with Wallstreet Journal. We have tried those and they popped on us splattering paint on our clothes and faces- everywhere on us, but the grass. I could not wash them off. We tried everything. It was hard to get it out of the skin even.

this is such a good idea! I forget about tissue paper sometimes. I'll try this at home with a picture frame then he can glue on that glass, then frame it! thanks for the post

Mine is 2 1/2. We have a big jacuzzi tub, so sometimes I just hop right in with him to relax. Or I soak my feet and do a pedicure/manicure. Or I'm on Facebook on my netbook... He will play in for an hour in there if I would let him!

My son also would play with the twilight turtle as well. Since he has to have music or a sound machine- I got the 'homedics soundspa lullaby' for $19 at Bed bath and beyond. My sister recommended it. I let him see it in the daytime in order for him to have the initial excitement and then used it at night: Music and rotating star disc. He watched it and fell asleep!! This is a kid that wouldn't ever go to sleep on his own. He's 2.

It's not ridiculous not everyone is blessed with a heavy sleeper from day 1. My firstborn would wake at the drop of a pin--we also made the mistake of not making noise from the begining. Light sleeper I guess. Hardwood floors do not help. I would go down in the basement or outside just to open a bag of chips!!

Too cute! I remember my mom made an April Fools day dinner and had a pile of sand on a plate with a Witch standing in it. A "sandwich"! It's a good childhood memory.

I also hate how expensive bean bags are, so I bought a bean bag cover at Pottery Barn Kids for $20 and filled it with all of the stuffed animals that are taking over my toddlers room! Storage and a soft chair!
