Thanks so much for the tip Lachmot! We still have part of the can left from the original painting, so we're good to go with the extra can being used for something so that we can enjoy the pretty color even more:)

JillyF - Under the resources section, there's a link to my post on in. I basically made some really, really simple slipcovers by tracing the cushions as a pattern:)

manequin - Thanks so much for the tips - I really appreciate the constructiveness! We {I} have plans for some built ins under the eave down the road - it's in a long line of projects waiting. Love the idea of with with blue backing for the bookshelf, and that would be such a simple project. I know it's not perfection, but we're really happy with the difference for now. If you see this again, I'd love your thoughts on picture placement. We had more pictures up, but it just seemed to make things even less pulled together and cluttered, so we just took them down to keep it simple for our little ones. Thanks again!

peculiarchick - so glad you like it so much! I'm so in love with the color and I can't believe the difference it made in comparison to a neutral to make it more cheerful for them. I'm always torn between 2 and 3. I WANT the alone time, but I know how much I could accomplish errands-wise without kids, so I always try to combine a bit and not rush with the errands and also include a bit of time with a cup of tea and a book.

Love all of these options! We have a few fabric snack bags from here and we looooove them so much - they've held up amazingly through almost daily use for well over a year now!

Ooooh - maybe it is??? It definitely had an old cracked tupperware thing as the sink when I got it! We also found a signature from a grandfather to a grandchild on the bottom. We assumed it was because he made it, but maybe it was just a gift? Our sink is painted on, but just because we put a big piece of wood over the sink opening in lieu of trying to fit something exactly into the opening that was already there. -Lillian

Our 2.5 yr old naps most often in our bed. She shares a room with her brother and they don't nap at the same time, so this allows her some time to herself and she always sleeps for at least 3 hours in the afternoon still, so it works for me!
