My husband and I own this grill. Bought it last summer. I was looking for a counter top grill and this one fit the bill while looking good. It works great, lights right up and the canisters last a long time. Our friends joke that it is the smallest grill in the world and give my husband a lot of ribbing. It is perfect for two people, however entertaining takes some fore thought. We keep it outside and it made it through the winter just fine. The cast iron grate is top quality.

Hi Everybody! This is Kara of Kara and Ken from the post. Thanks for the nice new comments! All the Cabinetry was done by David Swart at Wright Cabinetry in the O.C. He is really great, has done a few friends kitchens as well. Phone number is 714-530-7757.

Also I am selling my bus scroll, featured in the home tour, we have moved from our condo into a great Cliff May Rancho and do not have the wall space for it.

@ Notarepublican ... we live in a condo and removed our tub preferring a walk in shower with more room, to a tub we never use. It is great, we love it. We found a shower pan that can be tiled that fits in the same space as a tub, so it's fully sealed and HOA approved. Some buyers may be deterred by a lack of tub for resale but I think many people are shower only these days.

In defense of Eames chairs. Charles and Rae Eames were Modern masters, I am told that they built the prototypes of these chairs in their spare bedroom, how great is that? To me they represent the spirit and optimism of the modernist era and I am proud to have a piece of their genius in my home. Plus I think the shape of the armchairs is beautiful and sensual and they are quite comfortable. Just because something is ubiquitous, and really what percentage of homes has them, doesn't make them bad. It's like saying "if I see another iPod I am just going to die." Please visit the iconic Eames Case Study House in Pacific Palisades and the Eames Office in Santa Monica to get an idea of their amazing legacy in architecture and design.

For Carochan - the print you like above the chest was from Crate and Barrel but I purchased about 6 years ago.
For Centauriuk and others ... the artwork with the place names is a vintage bus scroll that I got from a guy at the Long Beach, CA flea market about a year 1/2 ago I lost his card and I haven't seen him again so I'm sorry I can't help. He gets them from someone in the UK.
For evablue and others you can contact me at cowboyandsapphire@gmail.com

Oh and the bus scroll, bought it from a guy at the Long Beach Flea Market but i haven't seen him again. They scrolls were used on buses to show the next destination, ours is from the UK. AT did a post about these and there was quite a spirited debate:

Hi Everyone! Thanks for the comments. I'm about to swoon that we received a positive comment from bepsf! I really enjoy your comments bepsf and Ken would agree that the hallway rug is too busy but I like it! About swagging the light - it is not really possible as the ceilings are concrete and we are not supposed to drill into them. I have been thinking of raising the fixture snug to the ceiling - what do you all think?
In response to the questions - the vertical bookcase is from CB2, not sure if they still carry them but they seem to be everywhere; the hall rug in from Anthropologie, the floors are 1/2 engineered pecan hardwood, this is what is recommended to lay over concrete. They are glued down over felt acoustical underlayment and can be refinished although the floor installer said this is a really good product and should last 20 years or so; the console is a walnut built-in we designed along with the rest of the cabinetry by Wright Cabinets in Garden Grove.

minimalist1 - Thanks for letting me know I have no imagination, no sense of style, everything I own is a cliche, I'm a moron and loser! Nice.

inky brushes - Point taken. I didn't mean to insinuate that I was the first or better than other people who had these - in fact the first one I saw, that I remember, was on AT a couple of years ago. I just saw mine, liked it, it's big and thought it would look good in my place. I guess I was lamenting the fact that RH has these now as a roundabout way of admitting to myself that the scrolls are trendy.

I have the other apartment mentioned above with the bus scroll along with Matthew. I am amazed to see such a spirited debate about these scrolls. I bought mine a while back at the Long Beach flea market - it is vintage from the UK and has a wonderful weathered quality - I still love it and it fits my big wall perfectly. It is a bit disappointing to see them at Restoration Hardware but I'm not going to worry about it. I agree that outside of the AT world most people haven't seen or heard of them.

I agree that the green Frog Tape works great. Much better than the standard blue tape. Make sure you burnish the edges. Small "art" paint brushes are great if you need a little touch up.

All paint in Benjamin Moore Aura, in Matte Finish, the living area color is 2126-20 Raccoon Fur and the bedroom color is 2112-10 Mink. I have searched and searched for the business card for the bus roll guy, and alas I cannot find it. Sorry about that.

Bed Quilt was Dwell for Target. I saw it on closeout the other week so they may not carry it anymore but there is a very cool grey Thomas O'Brian quilt also at Target.

Hi Everybody! Thanks for the great comments. I must have mistyped because I am married and live here with my husband and 2 cats. I'm not a crazy cat lady - well maybe a little. We renovated the entire condo and it's hard to photograph the whole place. The floors are BR111 1/2" Engineered Hard Wood Floors in Macchiato Pecan. The bus roll is original, I got it from a guy at the Long Beach flea market. I think I have his card somewhere will post later with the paint colors.

I have the Fisher & Paykel 17.6 cu. ft. While it is a little larger than the units listed in post it is smaller than a traditional fridge and is counter depth. I like that it has a flat front. Water in the door works great, also can fit party platters. Have had for little over a year with no problems.
