Even using a less toxic orange scented paint stripper, I'd still do any future paint stripping outside: The process was messy enough that the stripper melted through the drop cloth and I ended up with spots eaten away in the varnish of my beautiful hardwood floors! A cautionary tale.

Unfortunately, a lot of pretty healthy foods contain oxalate. Strangely enough, the oxalate in spinach, chard etc also blocks your absorption of the iron in those foods. (And I thought, "why would it want to do that?") But oxalate is actually a defense for the plant, discouraging feeding by insects. Hey, maybe it doesn't taste very good to bugs.

If you make a habit of squeezing lemon juice into your increased water intake, you'll absorb a lot less oxalate from your foods. Plus, having some oranges or OJ, grapefruit with your spinach, chard or kale lets you absorb a lot more of the iron. (And that's good whether you get kidney stones or not!)

Anything safe to effectively get rid of mold that's begun on the bathroom ceiling?

I'm going to have to try some of these other 'best' recipes... but boy that Skillet Toffee is amazing stuff!

I'd halve the recipe for an 8"-square pan.

Many years ago while riding Amtrak, I sat next to a frugal but ingenious young minister who was traveling all the way across the US. I remember he'd made a loaf's worth of peanut butter sandwiches and carried them in the bread's original bag- all stacked up like a loaf again. With that, he had brought a bunch of bananas : )

The Martha directions indicated Latex Satin- Is latex really the correct paint to use on a working metal radiator? The one I'd like to re-do is in the bathroom near the tub, so I'm wondering if latex on metal would crack and flake.
