I ordered these from another company and they were horrid. The "wood" paint was peeling off and chipped upon arrival. Needless to say they went right back in the box and were returned. Apartment Therapy Ohdeedoh | New Natural Wood Foam Mat |

The reason this is so cool is because it's homey, not Target bedding, not matchy-matchy, and yet it's comfortable and uncluttered and warm. Apartment Therapy Ohdeedoh | Mini Tour: Miles and Andrew's Bright and Airy Space |

Yeah it's a monster. My kitchen is tiny (and messy, oops) as you can see. We have a 1930 bungalow with the dining room in a separate area. We don't have much in that room other than the table, so I just set the tower in the corner of that room when it's not in use. It's sort of an eye sore but in my house, there is no way I can make this place look like kids don't live here. :) Apartment Therapy ohdeedoh | Look! DIY Kitchen Tower |

My husband built a knock off of the Learning Tower for our kids. It's not all the way done, but very functional. Apartment Therapy ohdeedoh | Survey: What Does Your Child Stand on in the Kitchen? |

I'd pick up a twin bed frame on Craigslist. Buy a new mattress. If you decide in 3 years to bunk them, you'll probably be able to re sell the twin frame for a few bucks, and then you can start fresh with bunk beds for the 2 of them. Good luck! My 4 year old and 19 month of share a room and they both like it. It works well for us. Apartment Therapy ohdeedoh | Good Questions: Shared Room Suggestions |

egay-- above she mentioned it was from an antique store. It looks easy enough to make though. Hoping I can duplicate it. Or that my husband can I should say. ;) Apartment Therapy ohdeedoh | How To: Design a Space for Playful Learning Mariah's February Jumpstart Project 2009 |

So many good ideas already. I agree, a tent or a Teepee is a must. Our kids love theirs: Apartment Therapy ohdeedoh | Good Questions: Creative Ideas for this Playroom? |
