When I was last waitressing/barista-ing, the pastry chef-genius-goddess pulled me aside to tell me I needed to wear shoes there for comfort/support and not so much for style. She was wearing clogs very similar to yours but I wasn't really convinced until she pulled up her pant leg and showed me the varicose veins she got from years of working with not enough support. I second DanielleM's comment on wonderful towns such as Holland, Saugatuck, South Haven and Grand Haven but then again I grew up along that stretch of lakeshore, so I'm very biased :) Another amazing place to visit further "up north" in Michigan is Leelanau County, especially Leland.
