In pic 44, there is a wood object on the bed. I found this same object in a thrift store years ago. Very mid century. Is it by a known designer or do you have any other info? I have it displayed with other wood objects in my home.

I agree with the lighting comments. Okay for a trendy restaurant or dungeon.

Everything white and shine the floors. If you can paint all the furniture one pale color that would be cool too. The palest green, blue, etc......Swedish style

I like the look, it is very modern. To go further with the modern look replace the door with a galvinized/stainless door. A long skinny rectangular window cut into the door would be nice. A light over the door, maybe one of the industrial gas station lights with bent conduit. Get rid of flower bed and cover with pavers. Put a cone shaped, galvinized planter with a round boxood beside the door. Freshen up the outbuilding with the same color paint. Add patio furniture.

It is always safer to get a higher btu than needed. Also, get one with a thermostat control opposed to one where the fan runs constantly.

Kevin Sharkey is creepy. I can't watch the show when he appears. I stopped watching all together this season because it got to craftsy and wedding. I enjoyed the cooking segments, Martha narration segments, and watching Martha interact. You can tell the creepy dude is a favorite of Martha's.

Nice. I have a technical question. I have the same shelves from IKEA and have not ever installed them because I am not sure how to anchor them to the wall. There will be a lot of weight on them and you just can't screw them into the sheetrock. To screw them into the stud is much more difficult. You may have one bracket on the stud, but the other one will not line up with a stud. Any suggestions?

It's beautiful, but I cannot afford the staff to maintain it's beauty. I am barebones as it is with just the cook, butler, and chauffeur. Plus I have an aversion to palmetto bugs (large red flying roaches). If I lived in a large industrial poured concrete structure I would opt for Virginia Creeper.

Ivy-Covered Houses: Magical or Malicious?

OK......I see where they are going and admit the charcoal grey color and the mod addition is kinda cool, but if they want a modern house just buy/build a modern house. It is cool and hip today, but in 20 years it will look like a cracker jack add on with no thought. To bandwagons comment I love the beetlejuice house, it is executed brilliantly. This one does not remind me of that house.

Great house! Inside and out. It doesn't look contrived. Would like a nicer kitchen, but would take it any day of the week.
