I don't see any reason for me to cancel, I think it's a silly knee jerk reaction honestly. I will go down to streaming only because I rarely get dvds. Why Netflix's Price Hike Might Make Me Cancel for Good |

They've had a service for companies where they send out boxes of curated materials for awhile now. I think they've done more with that than is on the website. It's very cool, but not anywhere near affordable for individuals. Inventables: A Hacker's Dream Come True Store Profile |

I wouldn't recommended using binders to anyone. Over time dust and other junk starts getting stuck in the sleeves and it will scratch up your discs. Quick Media Reorganization House*Tweaking |

This is a great example of one of my biggest mac gripes. Tons of programs that have free equivalents (though not as slick) are paid software, or shareware with lots of nag screens. It's maddening just how little freeware there is for macs. TuneUp for iTunes Unplggd Test Labs | Apartment Therapy Unplggd |

Even if you keep a fake tree for a long time, it's still made with petroleum products, won't deteriorate naturally, and will be thrown away some day. Being 'carbon neutral' isn't the entire issue. Real Christmas Trees "Greener" than Artificial EarthTimes | Apartment Therapy DC |

Sadly the in wall style of fireplaces generally do a really poor job of heating a house. If you want to use a fireplace as a main heat source a free standing model is much better. How To: Make Your Fireplace More Efficient Mother Earth News | Apartment Therapy Re-Nest |

I used to work at a Tim Horton's in Michigan and was constantly disappointed that no one ever bought nanaimo bars (we called them silk bars for some reason) they're one of the best things we carried. Recipe: Nanaimo Bars — The Canadian Treat | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn |

Not a bad idea. I hardly ever have had to deal with chucks that big though. My advice would be to set logs on top of that huge one and them split them instead of killing your back by leaning so far over all the time. A New Way To Split Firewood | Apartment Therapy Re-Nest |

There's always some new bit of tech that I want. But I try to make sure that the things I buy are well suited to my needs and reasonably future proof so that I can run them into the ground before buying a new one. Apartment Therapy Unplugged | How Soon is Too Soon To Buy Up the Next Big Gadget? |
