Lovely pictorial book but although home tours are global, the style is very Scandinavian-influenced

Wow. what blatant blasphemy! i am constantly perplexed at the level of collective ignorance here on apartment therapy. how can one possibly defend a contentious piece of work like this that is representative of an event in history that was an act of pure evil. With the suggestion for the rest of us to just "chill out" as a biting dash of smart-alecky disrespect. I am embarrassed for you. The glorified image of mao and your insulting actions are incredibly offensive, especially to a whole culture of people who, you may not know, suffered terribly under the fierce iron-hand tyranny of mao, general death. A select few of you come across as unbelievably uncouth and heartless by defending a hollow, brutish argument that this is an edgy example of "trendy warhol-expressionist pop art" (rather fitting coming from someone who shallowly stated: "I love Los Angeles. I love Hollywood. They're so beautiful. Everything's plastic, but I love plastic. I want to be plastic." )
I suggest some of you look beyond your narcissistic dense bubble worlds and do some extensive, comprehensive (compassionate) history reading and enlighten and educate yourself on significant global events of past and present. Knowledge is power. And I kinda see why they say history repeats itself...

Blandwagon---
Labels, labels, labels. Blah.
FACT: IUCN Polar Bear Specialist Group reclassified the polar bears as "vulnerable" species on the IUCN's Red list of Endangered Species in 2005. This is a serious label of concern, classifying the polar bear as a marine mammal at risk of *extinction*. They are not classified "endangered" strictly because Canada's Inuit people still traditionally hunt the bear (within restrict measures).

The polar bear is Canada's beloved northern marine mammal (we have roughly two-thirds of the global population).
Polar bears are a special-concern, at-risk species here in Canada. The threatened bear is an iconic symbol of Canada's far north as well as the effects of climate change on the sensitive Arctic environment. Populations are showing signs of severe stress due to shrinking sea ice. Their numbers are drastically declining.
The polar bear is the first species to become colloquially labelled endangered due to global warming.
As such, the polar bear is metaphoric. A symbol of our dire times. And that is enough to make me do *my part* in saving this precious earth.

Also,
M! --- I like to clean myself with water.
Shower with the plug and then bath! That is doubly eco-friendly!! haha.
My baths are actually more resourceful than my showers. Just ask my roommate! (:

{I can't vote here in this coffee shop! What wit that?}
Anyhow.....
Does anyone else notice that the first 3/4 of *Elle Decor* is pure advertisements? BLAH!!
It is only the last 1/3, if that, where all the dreamy, uppercrust decor images are at! A pompous waste of space, time and money (for me!)
Some editions of *Style at Home* are decent.
But *Canadian H&H* is CONSISTENTLY awesome!! (and will NOT be folding anytime soon! It is Canada's favourite with a tv show hosted by Ms Reeves herself!)
It is hard to find reliable, dependably fabulous shelter mags these days, but this is by far my fav.

Maxwell:
This "loophole" is far more serious than you make it out to be. It's not a flippant "Oh well, we'll just erase a few votes based on ISPs" type of situation. I'm a computer programmer myself & I know this is a big league botch! And it blows.
Shall we start over?
(in the very least we can now say all three windows are equal winners! It was a tough choice regardless.)
