Whoa nelly, this place is so nice I would keep it as simple as possible and live with it for awhile. I would suggest a nice curtain or upolstered bifold doors to cover your office and can close it off when having company. The look of the place, the walls the couch and the carpet scream leave me alone. You don't always have to fill a place up with stuff, go slow really slow.

Ok something else I saw some YELLOW leather drum stools in House beautiful this month. Go for something solid or it will look messy with all the legs.

No chairs, get some of those solid wood chunk stools

I say live with it and keep it really clean and buy some really nice white towels and maybe a terry robe to hang on the door. Spend your money where it counts.

How about tall potted evergreens on wheels? But, is it really nessary sometimes things are a certain way for multitudes of reasons. It's not bad, I would hate to scrap the cars on something.

The kitchen looks good but I say leave it white at least for now. I would take the potholders down and maybe put a piece of art up there or three or four small pieces of art. Maybe put a green plant on the end of the counter and get a really cute colorful rug. If you can afford it get a half round or slim metal waste basket on the end also. Congratulations on your first apartment.
