Gotta say, I'm lucky (in some respects-- he wasn't trained til 4) that my son started using the regular toilet right away and had no anxiety issues about the water, hole, flushing, etc. I asctually took the little (tiny!) bjorn potty we had away since I saw no point in scooping poop and dumping pee (or finding out that he had decided to dump the pee himself-- oh joy) out of one vessel into another if he was capable of cutting out that step. We'll see how it goes with my two year old though, every kid is different and I'll keep these recommendations in mind.

We had a super-yard. yeah, it's ugly as heck and it can slide a little, but it's reasonable and multifunctional. Ours went from being a "texagon" for our son Tex, to a christmass tree gate (tree was in a corner so we didn't have the pushing problem I guess) to a fireplace gate (not secured, but a deterrent). I like that you can take it outside in the summer-- and I also like that you can hang toys from the walls with linkadoos. the only thing to consider is whether your little guy will accept being caged. Tex really didn't put up with it for more than a few minutes at a time. What I eventually found more effective was just gating entrance to the room and baby proofing the living heck out of it.

no on the piece and price, but when i first saw it i thought i t was some conceptual artist's take on figurines of this genre. i mean, who thought up that chicken? i have to go with design.is.good-- i'd take a full size chicken for sure.
