Strangely, I saw current issues of Domino in a bin near the checkout at T.J. Maxx a couple of weeks ago going for $1 each. I've never seen periodicals for sale there before. I wonder if they knew the mag was going to fold a while ago and decided to start dumping extra issues?

My first job out of college was editing For Dummies books. The quality varies wildly depending on the topic, the author and the editorial team. I continue to be shocked that the series is still around. It's well past its sell-by date, IMHO.

Not a glass tile, but...when I was a designer for Daltile, I frequently specified a copper metal mosaic for customers with black galaxy countertops. It looked beautiful and was pretty unique. It came in 1 x 1, 2 x 2 and 1 x 2 sizes. I think the vendor was Maniscalco. Each tile consisted of a ceramic or resin (I can't remember which) base tile wrapped with a thin sheet of copper so it looked solid. We had coordinating metal and stone accents, too.

I adore her designs. Please pick me. Please!

Oooh I love the mag, and coincidentally, I've been hunting for Shrinky Dink paper all week. It's out of stock everywhere. Someone must be making thousands of holiday ornaments out of the stuff!

I like that bag, but I saw a bunch of other stuff on the web site that I'd like to have, too.
