i never pay attention to the birthday pics but this dapper dude grabbed me. he is a well-costumed fellow in all these pics!

the decor of their house really helps it feel more spacious. airy light colors and closed cabinets keeps any feeling of "all my objects are stacked on every wall" that you get from a lot of tiny homes. very inspiring and attractive home!

Heidi the architect, why do you say it's no longer in print? It seems to be readily available and still in print (not to mention required reading for several fields of study.) This is one of those books that everyone who reads totally raves about and it's been on my "to read" list for the last year!

i hate my hair dryer but if i don't use it during the cold cold winter, my hair turns to icicles and breaks on the way to the bus stop. . .

they were on clearance at my target a couple weeks ago, less than $4 each!! but they are gone now.

i saw this in nyc recently and thought the packaging was really cute. i didn't buy though because from the packaging i saw you couldn't tell what was inside or the quality of it. would have benefited from the store having an open kit or two for perusal.
