Adorable! I'm a mom of four and I would use the room to escape with a book myself!! Seriously, what a great "hideaway" for the kids. Nicely done.

We had a wall of similar paneling in our previous home. We had it painted a glossy white and it completely brightened up the room, changing the whole look. I know some say it's not right to paint over it, but I was so pleased with how it changed the room.

This turned out great! Our home had a 2-story entry as well. Lucky for us, the previous owners floored it and now I have a great craft loft!

Only one Southern location (Atlanta) on the list.

I am always surprised to see St. Louis on these lists... I'm not sure why, but I am.

It's an OK trend. Unfortunately, I've seen many design layouts where the individual tends to overdo and has words and letters sprinkled all over the place. Also, I can't stand "EAT" on a kitchen wall...

Just bought my daughter (13) the Burnette 46... She loves it. Very basic machine with all of the features you need to get started. My daughter liked the sleek black look of it too. I have an old Husqvarna that runs great after 20 years, but I've been having fun playing with the Burnette too.

A great beginner machine!

Every day I pick up clutter. I hate when stuff piles up. I have four kids, so it's not easy. I have an "upstairs basket" that I keep in the laundry room. We just toss stuff that needs to be put away or upstairs during the day... I empty it out in the evening. As for cleaning, I tackle something different each day (i.e. kids' bathrooms, son's room, upstairs hall)... I find this keeps things always looking pretty good without spending too much time each day on it. Actually, I like to clean, but the clutter makes me crazy.

I'm in the process of converting a 7' by 16' nook area in my upstairs hallway for crafting and sewing. I am planning to use the wall space as much as possible (take advantage of vertical space), with peg boards, magnetic boards, shelving, etc. I am trying to figure out the best option for two 6'-sized tables... I don't want anything expensive, and would like to construct something myself with boards, etc. Any suggestions of do-it-yourself tables that will hold up to a sewing machine, kids crafting, etc.
