I traveled to Normany in September of last year for the first time, and this is exactly what I dream of owning and doing at sometime in my life. I really loved it there and it's so conveniently close to Paris!

Cute guy and nice apartment!

Surprised there isn't a more prominent photo of the Chinese green dresser.

Great post! A personal contribution "Paris When It Sizzles"

The movie is a little tough to get through, but the stunning apartment and views make up for it!

I think it's a sweet studio, but I would infuse a bit more color into the bedroom. Maybe some additional pillows or shams with a pattern and a throw?

It's very hard for most people to break out of the beige/white habit when it's jammed down our throats by the main furniture/decorating outlets. It's even more difficult to get away from white walls in an apt. setting. Even if you can paint, is it really worth the aggravation if you're only going to stay in the apartment a year or so?

Looking good so far!

Not to brag, but my living room already has little touches of British royalty built incorporated into the decor. I'm not really seeing anything mentioned that I would want to buy.

I just don't think any of it really works together. The paint color is awesome (same as my living room), but I really think it needs a crisp sofa up against it and the coffee table doesn't work either.

I spent a few weeks in France last month, and I took several pictures of bistro chairs. Or I took a picture of every bistro set that I fell in love with so there must have been at least 25. ;-). I managed to track down a set for $400 + $100 in shipping from a Florida dealer last year who I convinced to sell me a set. They are beyond charming and I would love to upload a picture to the post. I get loads of compliments on them!

If you are going for a more traditional vibe (nothing too contemporary) that's my area of expertise. And I'm all about making the most of a $ and working with what you already have to make a home all of your own. Feel free to reach out to me at azierath@gmail.com!

I hate to say it, but Macy's has the same sofa for $700. I spent a long time comparing the 2, and they are virtually identical.

What is going on with the execution of some of these crafty ideas? The white ribbon looks totally washed out against the white wall. Would look better if the ribbon was colorful or patterned and the cards were arranged.

I have created a small memory board in my kitchen with criss crossed grosgain ribbon that is an elegant way to feature my cards. If I have an overflow of cards, I drape a ribbon over the entryway and pin the cards to the ribbon.

I actually do have a clutter free apartment! Just kidding, well I'm close. What I love about AT is that it features people who have a variety of tastes that set a high bar for home decor and design, whether the theme is modern, vintage, country, whatever. Most are in agreement that this project falls short of the standard bar. The cover looks out of place against the backdrop and it's obvious that it's hiding something.

I think the other reason that it looks really silly is because it's obvious that a door is behind the tv so you have all these shapes and functions that this curtain is supposed to be disguising.

Sorry this DIY is totally off. It looks incredibly awkward and out of sync with the rest of the room. If you want a big tv in the room, just accept it. If you can't accept the cosmetic issue, just get rid of it and replace with books!

I really like your room! Would love a bigger place so that I can do a "pink" room. Is your bed a double?
