It can be really tough to keep chickens safe from predators-- raccoons and possums can do a lot of damage and it's sad when it happens. Just be prepared to build something like Fort Knox in your backyard!

I'll be painting a tattoo- and graffiti-inspired mural on our den/media room wall in our new house, so yes, I'd do it.

If you want to DIY, use an angle grinder with a knotted steel wire brush to get the rust off. It will only take a couple of hours, and they will look brand new and be ready for a new coat of paint.

I found vintage barristers with wire mesh doors at a second hand store and used those for clothing storage for many years. They repurpose well when you don't need them for clothing anymore. And baskets work well for small items.

Fantastic job! Great to see other Cvillans. I'm curious about the chest in picture 11 and the artwork in picture 10.

Hi Nicole... funny thing is, my boyfriend has this exact couch. We're getting ready to move in together next month, and that couch is coming with us. I had really hoped to upgrade, but as it turns out, we are both attached to how comfy and useful it is. Plus I think it's going to go pretty well with our dark wood furniture, exposed beams, vintage-y collections, area rug, and b&w artwork. Mostly I'm hoping it will sort of disappear into the background :) ~Nicole

I put my sticker collection in my art studio, in a racing stripe pattern, horizontally around the whole room (with black walls).

Mine (white, fluffy, fake) came down last weekend, during spring cleaning. The wreath (still beautiful and green) came down a few weeks before. But I've been known to decorate my tree for Valentine's and Mardi Gras.

Found barristers (with metal grates instead of glass) a few years ago for $100 each at a local thrift store and they're one of my favorite pieces of furniture. I use them for storing art supplies, as an a/v cabinet, and as a side table.
