Rearrange the couches so they are parallel to one another. Find a great glass top table and graphic modern rug by going on-line to cb2, or by taking a trip to a mid-century modern store. Add a couple fantastic floor lamps, and, wha-lah! Instant make-over!

It's all about who you know. Get to know people in the field that are seasoned. They likely won't feel threatened by your desire and interest in their work. Perhaps they might even take you under their wing! Also, help friends out for free. Photograph your projects, and use it to market yourself when approaching future clients. And, always mention to people your interests. You never know who might be listening! Networking is a powerful tool!
