ceiling light fixture: we (boyfriend and I, this is a two man job) had to buy all of the pieces separately (each globe light (one 12" and two 8") came with its own wiring and ceiling mountcoverthingy) and then bought a pre-drilled cover with three holes (i think this was like $10 or something) so we could mount them all together instead of having the separate mounts. We threaded one of the globe lights wiring through each one of the holes and then cut the cords to the right length (wanted them staggered and not all one length). Using wire-cutters, we stripped the wires so we could mount them all together. We tied knots in the cords above the mount so they weight would be supported better.

mkw: as far as how long it took to put together: i feel like it's still being put together! I just bought a few of the cabinets about a month ago, so I guess I can say it took about a year to get everything where I wanted it to be?

Aster: The lamp shade is from Anthropologie, and the base is from Ikea

MARG1E: Those aren't available for purchase just yet, but I am putting together a store for my site and will be selling prints on there (possibly that one since I get a lot of requests for it!) My new site and store should be live in a few weeks (or whenever I am done uploading all the new work)

michelleinbrooklyn: I totally wish I could open a cafe! It would basically be a studio that I sold cheap coffee out of so that I could have human interaction throughout the day. ha!

squirrelpearl: The H was actually a gift from a friend from Philadelphia! It's an old plastic sign letter.

OtherLivingThings: The vertical wall art is actually a postcard set of the 12 days of christmas that I made a few years ago (hung with ph neutral masking tape, which is my default poster hanging material since I had so much around the house)

lame and ugly. would go perfectly with a giant ugly beige-carpeted cat tree. feline pine plastic tub under the sink is good enough for me and my cat.

george nelson swag leg desk = 1 full page illustration $$ 2 1/4 page illustrations $. couldn't resist it, as impractical as a 1700 desk seems.

i think making a bookshelf to fit the exact space would be nice. or wallpapering the background and hanging shelves that are the exact width between the moulding.

i have the lina folding chairs in black from dwr and they look surprisingly good as actual permanent chairs with my chrome legged kitchen table.
