Thanks so much for featuring my floor pillow!

Kaete - I agree. I taught myself to crochet a year ago by watching YouTube videos.

I've just got back from a few days in Paris too. Great weekend to visit - awesome weather. Seen lots of Figaros (the little green car) in London too.

Seconding the idea of blue and pink stripes linked with white. Maybe just on the longest wall?

Also, try a neutral colour such as a pale orange or yellow for their bedding in complimenting prints, but with their own choice of colours for mini pillows or blankets?

We went to Denmark last year and was hugely impressed with how child friendly the parks where - the huge air filled trampolines were a particular favourite with my kids (and me!) though I don't know if they are typical of every park. I wish I'd seen this cube.

Additionally, every cafe had a box of toys, all the service stations had a little play area and our children were made to feel welcome everywhere.

I thought all the pops of colour were really fun and did add personality and the dining nook was really pretty. I also really liked the deep, dark shade in the master bedroom but I think a better bed would give it more impact. Not keen on the window dressings - again something more sumptuous to add impact would work.
Gorgeous dogs too.

It's an amazing house but I'm also irked by the cut and paste of copy from another site and someone else's work is plagarism. Lazy and poor work practice.

The wall stickers are so fun and chic at the same time. Your bed posts look fabulous too.
Like Lisa above, none of my children have ever had a nursery and always shared with us so it's really great to see how you've integrated the nursery nook in such a stylish way.

I agree with Lesley, it's not really a mansion block. They look a lot different. It looks like a converted detach which happens a lot in London. Also in the UK we don'thave footage or metreage displayed in ads usually so it's always really hard to tell what the exact size of a place is!

Super impressed with Mrs Magaret's book knowledge - I always look out for books too. And veromagick try findaproperty.com which has a comprehensive rental and buying ads.

Liked the little cat cushion btw. Yay for more London homes!

I've had your original white and orange sofas on my mind for the past few days wondering how I could recreate it so I'm really pleased to see the updates. Your home is simply beautiful. I love your use of colour - it's really blown me away. And your dog is adorable.

I tried this out over the past few days with my four year old daughter and she loved it. We did dispense with the pipe cleaner though as we found a chunky plastic needle in a craft shop instead. She's made a bunch of bookmarks and some fun cards too and is very impressed with her new skill! Thanks!

Hi Valerie, what an amazing space to work with! I would take out the cupboard between the windows and install floating shelves to display glassware and other pretties. The wooden blinds would do better in white if you have an awful view. I agree that the flooring should be wooden or at least a lighter lino and you could balance this with the ceiling by painting it white - it would look like a soaring sail IMHO.

You don't have very much storage space so a painted dresser or an open set of shelving would work well on the wall opposite the current cupboard set up. You could move your fridge next to it so it isn't the thing that immediately catches your eye by the door. I think you may have space for an island unit as well - a moveable one would work as well for a party house as for a family home.

If you can't afford a new table, could you cover it with a really fun oilcloth that will pop some colour into that corner. I'd also advocate painting the chairs and recovering the seat pads. Could you position it horizontally? It looks lke you have enough space.

Good luck - hope you have fun redoing it.

I had this for my second baby and never again! It was ok when the mattress was at its highest point but once the mattress was lowered, it was a pain to lean over and heft my daughter out especially as she was heavier by then. We gave up on it and got rid of it fairly quickly and reverted back toa drop rail crib for baby #3. Shame as it does look nice.

Cath Kidston stocks some brilliant oilcloths. Only thing is they should be wiped very soon after spillages as they can still stain from things like ketchup and coloured felt pens.

I've also seen some used as covers and stapled to the underside of the table for a permenant and very neat cover.
