I'm currently looking for new flatware since I'm eloping next month and would like start off married life with something new and nicer than my current Ikea set. So this post (and the relevant comments - keep them coming, people!) couldn't have come at a better time. :-)

My fiance has resorted to wearing sleep masks when I read in bed. It does the trick.

I was cooking with sage last night - a butternut squash soup, my very first! - and I was amazed at how gorgeously fragrant it smelled. It really was a mood-enhancer. Great post! :-)

Wow, the designs are fascinating and beautiful to boot. And they remind me of Anna Bond's work at Rifle Paper Company. I adore her work, and I may just have to get myself a copy of this book when it becomes available.

While the yellow pictured above is lovely, it strikes me more as sunshine yellow and more summery in spirit (with the exception of the second photo). To me, autumnal yellow is moodier, more golden, less sunshine. Something like mustard or amber. Like the second photo.

And now all of a sudden I really want to read that book. I love the description of the apartment. Sounds so dreamy.

Is that a balzac sofa I see? I've been pining for one ever since spotting it in my ex-boyfriend's sister's London home years ago. So stylish and comfy to boot.

I want that west elm chair! It would be perfect in front of a roaring fire, complete with book and brandy.
