i think you should start with them against the wall next to the fireplace, after you get a sense for scale between your furniture and the room maybe move them into the center of the space to section things off. sometimes i even put painters tape and map things out on the floor. i also love to play around in Revit and Vectorwork all day.

this is one of my favorite tours of all time, for some reason this apartment matches my taste perfectly. i like the living room and studio sitting area best.
