I had this very same problem--and the woodpeckers' favorite time to peck was about 6am on a Saturday morning, right outside the wall from my pillow.

I inherited an axe, a maul, and a nice supply of firewood. I should have realized these items were a warning sign that my house is absolutely freezing in the winter.

The dining hall in my college dorm used to serve London Broil once a week, and it was one of my all time favorite meals. (Yes, my dorm actually served great food...probably a little TOO good, juding from the extra pudge that some people gained, ha.) They always served it with mint jelly and au jus, with roasted new potatoes on the side, and it was incredibly tender and flavorful. @powwlita--I'm using a Danby. I think it's a few years old--I scored it at a local thrift shop, in perfect condition (!) for about $40. What Is the Best Way To: Wash Dishes? | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn |

Everyday plates/cups/silverware go in my countertop dishwasher (to which I pledge my undying love on a regular basis). All pots, pans and larger cooking utensils go in a sink of sudsy water, are washed with a scrubby sponge, and air dried on a rack. Every few washes, the still-wet-and-soapy sponge gets zapped in the microwave for a few minutes. The sponge gets sterilized, and any spots or spills in the microwave get steamed off and wipe away effortlessly! What Is the Best Way To: Wash Dishes? | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn |

Living in a mountainous area with many antlered beasts (elk, deer, moose) roaming around, I can say that the antler 'thing' will never be over as long as there are animals around to shed them. Alpine Glam: Modern Mountain Retreats | Apartment Therapy Boston |

I've lived with some pretty bad bathrooms in my rental life, and buying a good-quality showerhead (that I remove and take with me to each new place) has made a HUGE difference in making the bathroom feel like my own. The bathroom may not look like a spa...but at least your shower can make it feel like one! Rescuing This Rental's Bathroom? Good Questions | Apartment Therapy New York |
