I'm not surprised the DC store closed, it was a ghost town anytime I visited it. West Elm's limited physical stores it probably a big factor in its online sales.

I have a chair in my bedroom that my dog uses as her bed at night - it's the only reason I keep it in there.

Hey, it's my old hood! tex20six, Oakhurst is down Monroe Rd, near Elizabeth and Commonwealth neighbohoods. Very cute, lots of little 50s bungalows.

I downsized from 1500 sf to about 450 sf last year. In my larger apartment, I never had enough stuff to really fill out all that space, so it was a relief to go smaller.

@TVsJessica - I have an Eames-style chair in my small home, and it fits perfectly. I think it depends on the dimensions of your room and how to lay it out as to what can and cannot fit.

I have german vocab shower curtain. Some of the words are incorrect, and the holes for the hooks rusted within 6 months - not very learning or shower friendly.

I have something similar, though not as glamorous - I bought it at Petsmart. My fat cat (13lbs) can get in and out easily and uses it like a pro. Mine cost $25 or so - I imagine this one will be waaay more.

I used to work at C&B, and there was an 800 number you could call if you had any of the china patterns and needed to replace them after they'd been discontinued. It wasn't guaranteed that they'd have something, but they'd put you on a list and contact you when they found what you needed (either through extra shipment, someone returning it at a store, etc). I don't know if Staxx falls under the same category, but it would be worth it to call and find out. Any C&B store would have the 800 number.
