I think tea towels like these http://www.2jane.com/detail.aspx?ID=278 are suitable for displaying as art, whether framed or just tacked to the wall as is. Apartment Therapy Chicago | 8 Uses for Tea Towels |

I recently booked an appointment with Spotless Services, confirmed the day before, and still they never showed up or called to explain why. (The exact same thing happened to me with Imacuclean, so that connection explains a lot!) Spotless Services told me it would cost $225 to hang four Ikea LACK shelves in my apartment, to give you an idea of their rates (they told me that they had an hourly rate of $75 and a time minimum of three hours). I was willing to pay it, though it seemed exorbitant, but I turned out not to have the chance. Maybe my experience was unusual, but I would definitely steer clear of these folks. (Btw, I ended up finding someone on Craig's list who did the job beautifully for $100.) Spotless Services |

Can anyone who attended this in past years comment on the quality and cost of the items for sale? Is anything actually affordable? And is it worth buying a $150 ticket for the opening night preview sale? Thanks! NEWS: Housing Works' Design on a Dime Fundrasing Benefit |
