The Grundtal shelf finally solved my bathroom storage woes. Clawfoot tubs are beautiful (and comfortable, according to my bath-taker roommate) but where do you store the shampoo and other drippy use-it-in-the-bath stuff? My bathroom is both small and weirdly shaped, which didn't help either.
My eventual solution was to hang a Grundtal on the wall at the head of the bath so it overhangs the tub. Two of these Ikea plastic baskets (with drainage holes drilled in) sit on the shelf perfectly: http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/40118272
Plus, the S-hooks are perfect for bath puffs (and, when coupled with the little storage pots, razors too!).

Love them too. I'm doing a box cushion for a bench in my kitchen and these fabrics would be perfect.

I recently came across five of their stripe patterns in a strange width (~40cm) on the Paper Source website, of all places, at $10/m:

Every once in a while there's an AP Boston post that totally incites my Boston-homesickness (I was only there for a couple of years of grad school, but still...it WOULD be my home, if it were feasible).

This is one of them. How I miss my old JP triple decker, which wasn't nearly as adorable as Sarah and Megan's, though almost as bright.

Also, Kyle, I really appreciate that you've featured a roommate situation. It's so inspiring to see people who live together who've managed to make their shared surroundings mutually appealing. Often it's so easy just to give up, aesthetically speaking, on shared space.

I love this fixture, or at least a taller version (more lantern than pendant) I originally saw on another HGTV Canada show, that makeover show with those Scottish guys. They sprayed it blue.

It looked great -- see the 'after' shots of both the living and dining rooms:

Subsequently saw it in person at Union Lighting in Toronto. The finish IS sort of weird -- a little antique-y for my taste, and somehow it looks both goldish AND silverish. I would prefer it to be one or the other. Guess that's why the Scots sprayed it!

Here's Union's tall versions:

They also have the pendant, though I think I like the overlapping circles even more when they're elongated.
