Freecycle them to a neighbor with chickens or just ask around. There's usually someone that raises chickens that can make good use of the cartons. I bring mine back to the farmers market where they are always needed.

What's so surprising about an area "usually associated with conservative politics" being interested in such a project?

It seems like a perfectly natural fit to me.

ronzorelli - I had the same problem that you described when I tried their "long lasting" deodorant. I've used the regular ToM deodorant for a long time (shortly after I moved to Maine, in fact) but the long lasting versions weren't made for my skin so I switched back to the regular one. I see on their website that they now offer a Sensitive version of their deodorant but for those of us that were quite literally burned by the experience of changing deodorant, well I won't be trying it any time soon.
I use their toothpaste and their shave cream and I like them very much.
I recently tried a Kiss My Face deodorant that was on sale at Whole Foods and that was a mistake. It simply didn't glide on like the ToM deodorant does. God help me if ToM ever stops making the Natural Original line of deodorant.

I think that Jon_B is probably referring to McMaster-Carr. Their website is www.mcmaster.com
I went there and did a quick search they have quite a few inexpensive alternatives. If you go to their website be sure to notice that there are 3 pages of options for antifatigue mats and the links can be easy to miss at the top of the page. They don't have many (any) color options but they do have plenty of size, thickness and texture options.

I have this light over my dining room table and I like it very much, especially considering the price. It lights up the table without lighting up the room. The only drawback that I have found is that the transformer is really large and a challenge to hide.

It would really help if you would have taken the time to find out the price for item before posting. Without the price the post is just a basic advertisement; not at all informative and a waste of your readers' time that seems to say that AT puts a quota on their posters and that your readers should simply be grateful for the pretty picture.

Good choice! I've been a fan of this chair for a while and look forward to picking up a pair (or 2) for my living room, sooner rather than later. I think they can be had for under $1500, depending on fabric. My local MGBW retailer has decent sales one or twice a year and this post has reminded me to stop by and have another look. Thanks for the nudge.

If you have the space but not the budget you might consider buying a widescreen CRT HDTV. I bought a 34" Sony a few years back and I don't think I'll ever replace it. It's a 250lb beast but there is nothing out there that can touch the picture I get. Of course, it was not a bargain at the time but the $1500 I paid then would not have purchased a decent flat panel at the time. It might be that you can't get a decent flat panel for $1500 even today...opinions vary.

The Philips outlet website often carries a number of 30" widescreen CRT HD sets that are in the $300 range including delivery.

They're deep and they're heavy, compared to other HD sets but the price is right and I'd bet that they'll be more reliable.
The biggest size you can buy is 34" so if you're looking for a really big screen then a widescreen CRT won't be an option.

What You Need to Know About...HDTV, Part 3

I'm writing from Portland, Maine. I guess my comment would be to ask for a bit of clarification as to what you're looking for. I'd be happy to help you do your homework but New England covers a lot of area. Are you looking to build or remodel in a Green way? Are you looking for cleaning products for your home? Are you searching for locally/regionally produced products? Lastly, are you a regular "consumer" like most of us here on AT or is this request more professional in nature?
