Other colors? I would love an option like this, but in a light color. I am so opposed to granite. Elements by Durcon: Eco-Friendly & Recyclable Countertops |

Thanks for the size and cost. I would prefer a place where I can walk or use public transportation, but this is the right idea for the living area. I love my small home where we have lived for 31 years, but it has a terrible walkscore. But, it's paid for. I was pleased to see that most of the house had been left intact. That is a good thing. However, I think you have the refrigerator on the wrong side. That cutout a the end of the counter was made for a fridge, albeit a small one as in the 50s. Noa & Stuart's Boho-Chic Bungalow (and Shed Remodel!) House Tour |

I would like to know the budget for the redo. This had to have cost hundreds of thousands to redo an 80 year old house. Minh & Ted's Lovingly Renovated Home House Tour |

My daughter's house could use a hall tree. It was built in the 30s and has tiny closets for only a couple of items of clothing. No place for bulky coats and rain gear. Where did the older generations keep that stuff? Once Ubiquitous Furnishings We've (Mostly) Left Behind |

I'm all for keeping it as a cake carrier, or pie or cookies, or anything that can be taken and shared. I had my mother's Revere cake carrier for decades and recently gave it to a friend because I have a Tupperware version that is more practical for me. It can be turned upside down and used as a big bowl for caramel corn. You can see, I love to cook. Merrilee's Surprising New Use for a Cake Carrier |

Love the minimalist look with calm colors. So nice to see this color scheme. Would love to see the kitchen and bath. We lived in a 527 sq ft studio so am always excited to see how others make accommodations with so little space. Rebecca & Ed's Tiny Space Maximizer House Call |

All that wood paneling is too much, but I would much rather have harvest gold appliances to the new stainless steel stuff. Whoever came up with that idea needs to rethink it. The upkeep on those is very high maintenance. Darby & Justin Rejuvenate an Outdated Kitchen Fly Through Our Window |

My mother had a friend who had a very similar looking kitchen, excluding the blackboard door, and it was built in 1961. I love how young people are returning to an era of my childhood! Wonder what will happen to this kitchen in about 2030. Before & After: 70s Drab to Industrial Chic Fab Kitchen |

Good grief...this is a typing chair from a high school. I have hundreds of these in the urban school where I teach, and they originally cost $68. $100 is just plain silly. Industrial Toledo Stool - $100 Washington DC Scavenger |

The sink area would drive me crazy if I cooked every night. I like my garbage disposal and dishwasher. That tiny sink doesn't look like you could wash big pots and large cooking sheets. Kitchen Tour: Lisa's Homage to Her Mom's Kitchen |
