I love this neighborhood. We live down the street and are counting the years before we can afford to move there.

I like that orange chair! Kind of expected more books though. Keep up the hard work, I'm always surprised on how long it takes to integrate ones own style with a spouse's.

The new butcher block looks good and I like the cabinet paint color. I always find double hung windows over sinks to be really problematic, I can't ever seem to get the open without climbing up into the sink!
I probably would have saved a bit of the budget to fix the missing crown in the 'dining' area.

Love having my Contigo leak-proof insulated coffee travel mug on my ride into work. Fits neatly into my bag and doesn't spill a drop!

I once dated a guy that had an oil painting of dogs playing poker. I suggested we move it elsewhere and he told me he had 'commissioned it' ............. from his mom.
Broke up about a month later.
Thank god.

they did this on Trading Spaces once. It held a tea pot collection. Before they could 'trade' back it came crashing down. The homeowner then confessed she didn't really like teapots anyway.

I love dutch sandwiches. My grandma used to make us hagelslag sandwiches. Essentially chocolate sprinkles, butter, bread...maybe a little sprinkling of sugar if we were good.

I still cringe at the walking closets and grossly over-estimated square footages in the housing section.

The interior white paint is Porter's Original Paints in Pireaus. No VOC and beautiful depth. All exterior paints are ben moore.

I was always taught that the 25% figure was before tax. Which more or less works out to be about 30-40% of after-tax income.
