The photograph of the girl "smoking" is from photographer Sally Mann... and that was her daughter with a candy cigarette. She photographed her children and just let them "be". I love it. It's beautiful. A Pop-Up Apartment at The Yard Showhouse Tour |

We juuust did this last night! We had an over run of movies in our tv credenza and we got a nice wallet book that goes on a shelf and got rid of all the cases. We had done this long ago with music cds I don't know why we waited so long for our movies. And, we will start putting them on hard drives for our media computer, too. Also, most of the cases are recycle-able! Apartment Therapy Chicago | Update: Clearing The DVD Clutter |

I think these floors could look really cool if they were sanded and stained a warmer color. Doing that might also bring most of the tones closer together and cut down on the visual "busyness". Good Questions: Should I Switch my Parquet for Strips? |

Okay, I think by now the consensus is to not keep something that you don't at least LIKE. I made the mistake one time of buying a futon because I thought it was a cheap, practical solution for my budget... turned out I wrong on so many levels. I finally gave it away and went down to the thrift store and bought an awesome sofa for 20 bucks. I still have this sofa and love it. You should always surround yourself at home with things that inspire you, or at the very least-reflect your personality. If you don't like the couch on its own, then no amount of decorating around it will help. Life is too short to try to make something work when it just doesn't. :) Good Questions: Can this Scary Sofa Work? |
